Dump Trailer Terms & Conditions

Renters must be 25 years of age or older and must present a valid driver’s license and full-coverage auto insurance in their own name. The renter is responsible for confirming that their insurance policy provides adequate coverage for the rented dump trailer. Please read the following terms carefully, as they form the basis of the rental agreement between the renter and the owner.

This Rental Agreement is made between Utah Dump Trailers (“we, us, our”) and the Renter(s) (“you, your”) for the rental of the dump trailer.

Please treat the dump trailer with the same care and respect you would your own property.

1. Rental and Indemnity

This Agreement covers the rental of the dump trailer. We reserve the right to repossess the trailer—at your expense and without prior notice—if it is abandoned, used illegally, or operated in violation of this Agreement (see Prohibited Uses below).

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or attorney fees arising from your use of the dump trailer or from our repossession of it.

2. Rental Payment

  • Utah Dump Trailers offers daily rentals, not 24 hour rentals.
  • Rental time begins at 8am and ends no later then 7am the next day unless otherwise agreed up. The minimum rental period is one day.
  • All rental fees and the required security deposit must be paid prior to pickup via credit/debit card or Venmo.

3. Trailer Inspection

A full walkthrough and operational overview will be completed at pickup to ensure the trailer is clean and fully functional.

Upon return, the trailer will be inspected for:

  • Cleanliness (inside and outside)
  • Axle and tire condition
  • Proper dumping functionality
  • Tarp condition

4. Tires

Tires are the responsibility of the renter. If a tire fails during the rental:

  • The cost of the replacement tire will be covered by the renter
  • Tires will be replaced by Utah Dump Trailers and not by the renter
  • We do not reimburse for tires damaged due to improper use (e.g., hitting curbs, driving over nails, or road hazards).

5. Pickup & Return Requirements

Renter(s) must personally pick up and return the trailer unless written delivery arrangements have been made in advance and any delivery fees agreed upon.

The trailer must be returned clean and free of dirt, debris, or waste.

  • A $50 cleaning fee will be deducted from the security deposit if cleaning is required.
  • Late returns will incur a $75 fee, unless alternate arrangements are approved in writing.

6. On-Road Issues and Assistance

If any issue arises, contact us immediately at 801-877-8442.

No reimbursement for repair or out-of-pocket expenses will be issued without prior authorization.

If damage or mechanical failure occurs due to renter negligence, the renter is responsible for:

  • All repair costs
  • Any loss of future rental income

7. Parking & Traffic Violations

Renter is responsible for all tickets, citations, penalties, or violations incurred during the rental period. Failure to report violations constitutes a breach of this Agreement and may result in additional fees.

8. Prohibited Uses

The dump trailer may not be used:

  • By anyone not listed on this Agreement, anyone with a suspended/restricted license, or anyone not meeting age/insurance requirements
  • By any person under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • When obtained or extended using false or misleading information
  • For any illegal activity or action that may result in criminal charges
  • To transport passengers or property for hire
  • To tow, push, or haul beyond intended use
  • Outside the United States
  • To transport animals
  • In any reckless, willful, or dangerous manner

Any prohibited use constitutes a breach of Agreement.

9. Breach of Agreement

If you breach this Agreement, you are liable for all damages, losses, and costs associated with the trailer, including those caused directly by the breach. You waive all recourse against us for any legal actions resulting from such breach.

10. Personal Property

You release us and our agents from all claims involving:

  • Loss or damage to personal property stored in or transported with the trailer
  • Damage to your tow vehicle or any other vehicle involved
  • Bodily injury, personal injury, or death associated with use of the trailer

11. Renter Damage Responsibilities

If the trailer is returned with damage that occurred during the rental period and the renter is at fault, the renter is responsible for:

  • All repair costs
  • Any insurance deductible
  • Loss of rental income
  • Any damages not covered by insurance

If an accident occurs, renter must:

  • Contact police and obtain an official report
  • Notify us immediately at 801-678-0078

Only the renter(s) listed on this Agreement may tow the trailer.

12. Security Deposit

The security deposit will be refunded using the original payment method, minus any charges for:

  • Damage
  • Fines or violations
  • Cleaning
  • Missing equipment
  • Unpaid balances

Security deposits are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.

13. Miscellaneous

Failure by us to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Unless prohibited by law, you release us from all liability for special, incidental, or punitive damages.

If any portion of this Agreement is deemed unenforceable, all remaining provisions remain valid.

14. Acts of God

We are not responsible for damage caused by events outside of our control, including:

  • High winds
  • Falling trees or debris
  • Hail
  • Storm damage
  • Flying objects

Renter assumes all responsibility for the trailer while in possession.
